A Family Reunion SAVE!

Shortly after the horrific floods that devastated beautiful Hunt, TX and many other hill country towns along the Guadalupe July 4th, we received a call from a gentleman whose annual family reunion was to be held at a venue in Hunt along the river. Tragically, the venue in Hunt would not be operational. They needed a new venue to accommodate their large family flying in from California, the East Coast and a few places in between. Their reunion was in less than two weeks. Fortunately, our property was available, and we set the reunion planning in motion! A true SAVE!

The Meredith Family comprised of 35 or so family members spanning three generations. They stayed for 5 nights and 6 days, and they had FUN! They gathered as a family for dinners grilling at the Pavilion taking turns being Chef. Throughout the days they would break into smaller groups and play around the Casita property with lawn games, kite flying, hiking, board games at the Pavilion and of course: THE POOL. Each day, various smaller groups would visit one of the many local parks, swimming holes (Blue Hole in Wimberley), a brewery or winery (12 Fox, Dripping Springs Distillery and Hawk's Shadow Winery to name a few) and our small towns close-by, like Fredericksburg. One day we stopped by, and the grandparents were watching the little ones that day, at the pool, while the parents went hiking at Pedernales State Park.
One of the benefits of a property like Hill Country Casitas is the ample space to gather and to retreat. The Meredith family aced that! We hosted many families this summer – small and large. It is truly a blessing to play even a small part in a family’s happiness.
“Our family had a wonderful week at Hill Country Casitas! From breakfast on the porch with hummingbirds to enough space in the Pavilion for our whole family reunion dinners and great afternoons in the very kid friendly pool, we were able to relax and unwind here in a very special way. Everything seems so brand new and well maintained, there is a lot of love that clearly goes into the Casitas!”

Many other families gathered at The Casitas this summer to make memories. The stories are similar and end with, “we want to do this every year”.
Life can be short. Don’t wait to spend that special time together. Let us help you make memories. Reserve your family reunion now for 2026. Reunions at Hill Country Casitas
