A Heartwarming Reunion Story

Shortly after the devastating floods that struck Hunt, TX, and other picturesque towns along the Guadalupe River on July 4th, we received an urgent call. A gentleman was in search of a new venue for his family reunion. The original venue in Hunt was no longer operational. With family members flying in from California, the East Coast, and various places in between, they needed a solution fast. Their reunion was just two weeks away! Luckily, our property was available, and we jumped into action. What a true SAVE!

The Meredith Family, consisting of around 35 members spanning three generations, stayed with us for five nights and six days. They had a blast! Family dinners at the Pavilion became a cherished tradition, with everyone taking turns as Chef. During the day, they split into smaller groups to enjoy the Casita property. They played lawn games, flew kites, hiked, and enjoyed board games at the Pavilion. And, of course, they made great use of THE POOL!

Exploring the Local Area

Each day, various groups ventured out to explore local attractions. They visited nearby parks, swimming holes like the Blue Hole in Wimberley, and local breweries and wineries, such as 12 Fox, Dripping Springs Distillery, and Hawk's Shadow Winery. They also explored charming towns like Fredericksburg. One day, we found the grandparents watching the little ones at the pool while the parents enjoyed a hike at Pedernales State Park.

The Perfect Gathering Space

One of the many benefits of Hill Country Casitas is the ample space for gathering and retreating. The Meredith family truly made the most of it! This summer, we hosted numerous families, both small and large. It’s a blessing to play even a small part in creating happiness for families.
